Daily Accompaniment
through Mentorship

Can help you gain the tools and perspective to make the changes you desire for your life!

I’m ready to get started! What do I do next?

There’s something about the adventure and promise in a season of transition. I have spent years standing in the growing process with people. Sure, they are hard moments and often filled with questions, doubts, and fears. We all have these moments; I’ve had these moments.

You are not alone!

Have you gotten caught up in focusing on something or someone else and just pushed your thoughts or feelings aside? Or maybe just buried them? Many times I was invited into the ups and downs of my students, their families, my coworkers, or the larger community. A death, a divorce, a diagnosis would strike and my heart and attention would focus on bolstering up those affected. I would end up pushing aside or burying my own experience because “it was supposed to be about them.” Recognizing this tendency in myself, I began to notice how others carried their heavy loads; lovingly caring for others, not even realizing that they were neglecting their own needs. I felt a call to support those who are struggling with these heavy burdens and found that by training to be a Mentor, I would be equipped to accompany individuals in any walk of life.

So, if the question, “but what about me?” is welling up in you, I’m here! My goal is to see, hear, and understand you so that you can regain the strength, clarity, and peace to journey on. If you’re looking for accompaniment, I’m a trained Mentor and am here for you.

Mentorship Can Help With Thought Loops

Mentorship Is Integrated Accompaniment
in Your Daily Life

  • You lead the conversation

    You Lead

We all share the experience of being human. Rooted in these common experiences, the journey is personalized to who you are, where you are, and what your hopes and dreams are.

Following your lead, we lean into areas in which you desire to: grow, develop, heal, and discover.

    This is accompaniment;
I join you in your journey.

  • Connecting during the day

    Daily

Convenient daily exchanges occur through voice memos. You can find moments in your regular day to pull out your phone, click on the app, and leave the message.

There's no need to make appointments to visit an office. You don’t have to put things on hold and save them up.

As thoughts, feelings, wins, challenges, and questions occur, you can leave a voice message narrating your real-life, in-the-moment experiences.

  • the whole you

    The Whole You

Mentorship has an integrated approach: personal, professional, spiritual, dreams, goals, personal habits... the whole you!

You have the space and freedom to explore how the different aspects of who you are interact within yourself and in your relationships. This might include thoughts, self-talk, and default ways of acting in tough situations.

    Let your identity shine!

FAQs

What is Mentorship?

Mentorship (officially called Integrated Dialogic Daily Mentorship, or IDDM), is daily accompaniment via voice messages on an app. This integrated approach finds a space where personal, professional, internal, and interpersonal worlds meet. It’s a view of the whole you!

What is your training?

I am a certified mentor through the CatholicPsych Institute. In the CPMAP program (CatholicPsych Model of Applied Personalism), I received rigorous academic and practical skills training that included anthropology, spirituality, and psychology. With this knowledge and experience, I’m trained to see and hear you where you are!

The word Catholic comes up a lot, why?

For me, it’s important that you understand that I am grounded in the wisdom and understanding of the person from the Tradition of the Catholic Faith. However, out of deep respect for the dignity of each person, I want to meet you where you are and help you grow in ways that will help you flourish in who you are.

Are you a licensed therapist?

While I am not a licensed therapist and cannot diagnose, or prescribe medications, wherever you are in life, I would welcome the opportunity to get to know you and help you beginning with where you are. My goal is to see, hear, and understand you so that you can regain the strength, clarity, and peace to journey on. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we can do that together!

“Will she understand me and my unique situation?”

As each of us experiences unique moments in our lives, sometimes it is reassuring to discuss with someone who understands.
Here are some of my unique situations:

  • o   Working in a self-contained special needs classroom, I learned so much from the children with autism I got to know. In joining the child where their thoughts and imagination were opened to me, I learned how to discover the uniqueness in each student, building relationships with other students, teachers, family, and community. Additionally, I understand the joys and struggles parents, family, and friends experience.

  • I have spent years in schools teaching, mentoring new teachers, collaborating with colleagues, building teams and working with the community. I value education, but I value the people I encounter more.

  • o   Not only have I had the experience of working with international students and families in the US, but I've also experienced what it is like to be an international student. In my undergrad, I studied in rural Central America, and for my graduate degree, I studied in a college town in Europe. I was immersed in the language, culture, and experience of a new place.

  • For many years, I worked on the campus of a Catholic School and was invited into a Spiritual Family. I witnessed what it was like to grow in faith and to help others grow in faith.

  • o   I was regularly around those discerning vocations and their desire to understand single, married, religious, and consecrated life. I was able to support those discerning a vocation to the priesthood (diocesan and religious) and those discerning a consecrated vocation. In this natural process of discernment, many discerned a married vocation and I was able to support them as they moved back home to continue on that journey.

  • I think that one beautiful outcome of volunteer and mission work is a new perspective. Many times after the work is over, I’ve learned something about myself, discovered a new talent, or uncovered a question. I’ve been there and have explored these new perspectives and strove to integrate the lessons into my life.
